News – July 13, 2009

K.P. will be exhibiting his artwork at St. Luke’s Methodist Church Art Gallery from August 30 through September 30, 2009. The Exhibit will include selected art pieces that depict architectural landmarks from Indiana and around the USA, as well as international locales. KP will make several guest appearances to discuss his artwork. A portion of the sales proceeds will benefit the Indianapolis Interfaith Hunger Initiative.

K.P. recently had the honor of participating in an Inter-Faith prayer service at St. Paul’s Catholic Center in Bloomington, Indiana, which included the presence of His Holiness, The Dalai Lama. KP’s drawing of “Cathedrals of Spirit” graced the program cover, and a specially prepared print of “Cathedrals of Spirit” was presented to His Holiness on behalf of the Inter-Faith prayer service planning committee. You can read KP’s account of the ceremony at NRIinternet.com.

KP Singh’s artwork is currently on display at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C! Three of his original drawings are now hanging in The Sikh Heritage Gallery of the Smithsonian’s Natural History Museum. Details and photos are available in the press release. You can take a virtual tour of The Sikh Heritage Gallery, although it does not yet reflect the installation of K.P.’s artwork in June 2007.
